Textural Study Series
This is a series of works for performer-composer using self-made DIY kinetic objects that are manipulated live, enhanced them with real-time electronics, and blended with synthesizers to create textural polyphonic composition. Each medium allows for the transformation of composite sounds to evolve different. For example, physical pencils can be added / subtracted, while the mechanics of synthesizers allows for specific sequencer interruptions, but the digital ring modulation can quickly change the sonic processes. Started in 2023, this is an ongoing and evolving series where the form of the composition is intentionally changed by at least one element every time with the hope that it will become a radically new work in a few years.
